all in the family

I was looking for a little something I could make for Moo for Easter and came across this really cute softie flip doll tutorial from Do Ah Diddy via Prudent Baby.  I thought it was such a great concept, but wanted to put my own spin on it.  Max loves his color book so much I thought I could personalize this too, so I decided to make the faces all family members.  Since I ended up with a whopping 12 faces I had to adjust the way I finished the book, but it worked out pretty nicely.  Here it is!

I was considering including pictures of the real family members, but maybe they'd be happier if I didn't :)  The first one is Max of course with his signature curly hair and teeth.  Then me, then John with his cycling hat on.  And so on...

He digs it.

Thanks Easter bunny!

PS- That shirt if from klt:works, part of my prize for winning the creative bundle competition.  Isn't it awesome?  The other part of the prize was more fabric, see below!  I used some of them in the book.  So lucky!

ruffle pillow + big time winner!

Ok, I know it's been a while since my last post...we have been going through some sleep issues with a certain little boy and my mind couldn't focus on much.  But we are back to normal (somewhat) and I am working on some really cool projects!!

I think it's only appropriate that I made another pillow while tackling sleep training.  I like, although next time I'm going to make the ruffles bigger.  This fabric was just a scrap, so I had to make do with what I had.

So here are my three new pillows for my new sofa.  White you say?  With a one year old?  *Shrug*

Also, I won the klt:works creative bundle competition!!  Thanks for all that voted for my pillows!  Now I get another fabric bundle and a gift card to her awesome shop!  Here is what I am getting for the Moo- squirrel T!

pillows and a bear!

I entered klt: works Fabric Friday giveaway a couple weeks ago and won!  The winners were supposed to create something with their new fabric bundle and sent a pic by April 1st.  The fabrics were so great, I made a patchwork pillow and yo-yo pillow for my new sofa and used the last two fabrics for a teddy for the Moo.

Next Friday all five winners will be featured on klt: sketchbook and you have a chance to vote for your favorite.  Hope you vote for me!  Either way it was a ton of fun!
