chicken wire chic

Remember my statement sign?  Well, the idea was great, but I never really how it turned out.  I didn't like the light gray color, or the font really.  I do plan to re-paint the sign and put it somewhere else...but that's for another time.

I've had this great antique frame, but could never find a picture appropriate for such an ornate frame.  I spray painted some chicken wire gold and attached it to the back of the frame and made a bulletin board of sorts.  Not sure I like the picture arrangement, but I'll probably change it up pretty often.  Maybe Max's artwork in the future?

can you see the bookshelf?

I've had these floating bookshelves for years.  I did put up a couple in Max's room when he was a baby, with his books.  He would pull them all off from his crib.

I decided to give them new life in the living room, and cover them in fabric.  Here is the final result.  Some of them are a little loose, and the side view bugs me because some of the books are new and some old so the pages are various colors, but overall I like it.

Don't concentrate on the chair!  I can't control the spit/yogurt/milk/cracker mouth prints!
