rap embroidery??

Have I mentioned I love Pinterest?  It is so fun to look at all the ideas and inspiration.  My sister pinned this hilarious embroidery wall art.

It's her birthday coming up, so I tried to make it for her.  It's definitely not perfect, it's my first time!  Still hilarious.  I'm still thinking of all the other inappropriate sayings I could embroider...

step two: there's so much we can do

That's right.  I'm using New Kids on the Block lyrics for Max's room makeover posts.

I made a bunting for Max's room.  Not sure if this is where it will go, it's up there with tape for this photo :)  This wall is going to be my art wall, I have about four or five projects in the works for it.

Don't peak at the shelving wall, that will be another step...

step one: we can have lots of fun

Max's room renovation: Step One.

I made a teepee for Max over the weekend using this tutorial.  Seriously, you only need a twin sheet and five pieces of wood.  Voila!

I'll fix the rope around the top eventually, I got lazy at the end.  It is a fairly easy tutorial, but since I can't follow a pattern to save my life, it took me a little while...

Don't pay attention to the clouds on the wall, they won't be there for long.  I used a cornstarch mixture to put the fabric clouds up, but I don't like them.  I have an idea to replace them.  However, I do like the fabric decal idea.

is that me or a doll?

I've been making some plush dolls/animals for Max.  Although he prefers throwing them rather than hugging them...  Monster, Mom with Baby, Bird and Bear.

I also made one of and for my friend Anthony, just for fun.  I made it when I had just finished the family flip book.  You can see the similarity.  My favorite is the spiked hair and American Apparel V-neck shirt.  Love you Uncle TT!

I have been working on a ton of projects at once for Max's room, I will have a LOT to share soon.  Stay tuned!
